100th Annual Convention & Trade Show

Image: 100th Annual Convention & Trade Show

Please join us for our centennial Annual Convention & Trade Show to be held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, October 27 to 29, 2018. We've given the program agenda a fresh update that requires only a two-night stay to take advantage of all of the convention opportunities. This convention will be totally enhanced with an exciting new format, new technology and never heard before speakers. Check out the convention article in the July issue of the Transportation Leader magazine that outlines some of the exciting changes and additions we're making to this year's historic centennial convention and trade show. The new three-day action-packed format will feature 12 interactive Learning Labs focused on:

  • Innovations & Technology;
  • Diversification & Market Trends;
  • Workforce & Driver Management; and,
  • presentations by our premier sponsors, Ford Motor Company and Flywheel.

Each Learning Lab will feature an informed presentation followed by a moderated, interactive, open forum to discuss the topic, offering a blend of instruction, case study and peer learning.

Scott McKain

Scott McKain, an internationally prominent marketing and sales authority, helps organizations create distinctions. His keynote address is titled, "Create Distinctions: What To Do When "Great" Isn't Good Enough To Grow Your Business" and addresses how you can stand out from your competition to become the preferred consumer choice. McKain teaches how to expand profits, increase sales and engage customers. His latest book, 7 Tenets of Taxi Terry, provides the specific steps for every worker to create and deliver ultimate customer experiences.

As is our tradition, the trade show will be the focal point for our networking and food and beverage functions. Your convention registration fee includes all of the open meetings as well as the grand opening cocktail reception and luncheon, both of which will be held in the exhibit hall. Now called the Transportation Solutions MarketPlace, the marketplace has been restructured to take place over two days without sacrificing hours, and it will feature approximately 90 vendors showcasing cutting edge products and services designed to help you propel your company forward in the year ahead. Nowhere else will you find the ultimate combination of industry information, education and networking. Whether you're a fleet operator or an industry supplier, participating in this convention and trade show will be critical to the continued revitalization of your business.

Hotel Reservations

Caesars Palace has a limited number of rooms for TLPA until October 1, or when the block sells out. TLPA's special group rate is $199 for single or double occupancy. TLPA also has a small block of rooms available at the Flamingo for the special rate of $99 for single or double occupancy. Rooms are exclusive of applicable room taxes. Of special note, room reservations made from this link will not have to pay the $30 per night resort fee that is now mandatory on general inventory rooms at the hotels.

What People Are Saying

One comment we've heard many times over the years is, "I wish I had attended this convention earlier." With your first interaction, you'll quickly become part of a professional network who will become your source for professional development for years to come.

As Mike Pinckard, president of TLPA said, "It's been said this is a three-day master class in running a transportation business, whether you have 1,000 vehicles in a major city or 10 vehicles in your town. Everybody at these events is here to help their fellow operator do one thing: Grown their business with new and better ideas."
