The InvitationPresident Brian Wier and TLPA host operator, Mark Joseph, invite you to enjoy an enriched educational experience at TLPA's Spring Conference & Exposition in Baltimore, Maryland, May 3-6, 2007. The conference will be held at the Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel in the heart of the city. Stroll the waterfront, have your fill of fresh steamed Maryland crabs, or meander through the interesting shops in the Harbor Pavilions. Baltimore is definitely a destination to bring the whole family. Some of Baltimore's top attractions line the Inner Harbor including the National Aquarium in Baltimore, the Maryland Science Center and the USS Constellation. For a change of pace, hop the water-taxi to Fells Point or Little Italy for fabulous restaurants tucked away on cobblestone streets.
The AgendaOur General Session speakers are well known industry leaders who will provide you valuable tools and insights in an incomparable learning experience. Our popular breakout sessions allow you to visit the division of your choice and discuss unique issues. Some of the meeting highlights will be the three open steering committees meetings that address legislative and regulatory issues, review training materials and choose topics for the TLPA Annual Convention roundtables and breakout sessions.
The Relaxed Atmosphere of the ExhibitsTLPA has never been accused of all work and no play. We'll have time for a little relaxation as we break from our meetings and allow the exhibitors to welcome us into the trade show for a breakfast, a lunch and a cocktail reception. The Spring Conference allows for a more intimate setting than does our Annual Convention, which in turn enables our exhibitors to focus on you in a more relaxed atmosphere. The exhibit will feature tabletop exhibits and floor exhibits from vendors eager to show you new ways that they can help you build your business. Tour a Diversified CompanyVeolia Transport on Demand owner of Yellow Transportation, which is managed by our host operators Mark Joseph and Dwight Kines, will offer a tour of their 900-vehicle facility on Saturday afternoon. Yellow Transportation developed a full city block to include their facility, which has computer dispatch, full maintenance garage, and administrative offices. Yellow Transportation also leases property to a car wash and Jiffy Lube, which service many of the owner-drivers affiliated with Yellow Transportation.
Enjoy Dinner & a Baseball GameVeolia Transport on Demand will co-sponsor a "Day at the Yards", where TLPA registered attendees can register to attend dinner and the game between the Baltimore Orioles and the Cleveland Indians at Camden Yards.
