The deadline for all ticketed events with the exception of the Golf Tournament is Oct. 6, 2010.

Golf Tournament (ticketed)
The Annual Gateway Insurance Company Golf Tournament to benefit the TLPF will be held on Wednesday, October 27, with departure from the J.W. Marriott Palace at 11:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. at the Brookside Golf Club in Pasadena, CA. A banquet sponsored by BCAC/The Black Car Fund will conclude the event. This golf tournament is limited to 72 golfers.
In order to preserve our modified shotgun start, registrations must be received by Monday, September 20, 2010.
The registration fee is $125, which includes greens fees, golf cart, practice balls, two drink tickets at the awards ceremony, round-trip transportation from JW Marriott and dinner. A total of $25 dollars from the registration fee is deductible as a charitable contribution to the TLPF. The entire fee will be non-refundable.

TLPA Women’s Spa Program (ticketed)

This event will be held on Wednesday, October 27 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Ritz Carlton Los Angeles hotel Spa (900 W Olympic Blvd. L.A.) located on the 2nd floor adjacent to the J.W. Marriott hotel.
Escape for an afternoon of total personal pampering at the Ritz Carlton Spa. The TLPA has put together a menu of spa services for you to choose from ranging from signature skincare, massage to body treatments. So we invite you to indulge yourself in this experience of luxurious relaxation.
The selection of services valued at $200.00 each include:
- 50-Minute Signature Massage
- 50-Minute Signature Facial
- 50-Minuate Champagne Sugar Scrub
- Classic Manicure & Signature Pedicure
A total of $50 dollars from the registration fee is deductible as a charitable contribution to the TLPF. The entire fee will be non-refundable.

Host Operator Tour (free & included in the registration fee)
The Tour L.A. Yellow Cab Co-Op sponsored by L.A. Yellow Cab Co-Op will take place on Thursday, October 28, from 9:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Yellow Cab of Los Angeles will welcome us to their Gardena facility. The tour will include a walk-through of the 14,000 sq. ft. main administration building. Approximately 130 people work there, providing administrative services for five taxicab fleets, which in addition to Yellow Cab include: South Bay Yellow Cab, Long Beach Yellow Cab, United Checker Cab and Fiesta Taxi, with a combined total of 1,175 taxicabs. The main building consists of offices for the following departments: Operations, Dispatch, Cashiering, Recruitment, Training, Accounting, Marketing, Public Affairs, Human Resources, Lost and Found, Registration/Insurance and Executive Offices.
The tour will then go outside to visit the 17,000 sq. ft. Maintenance Building and parking area, which includes the following shops: an eight-bay Mechanical Shop, Paint and Body Shop, and the Radio/Electronics/Topsign/Graphics shops which are owned by TLPA member Taxi Equipment Co.
There is no cost to participate in the Host Operator Tour, however you must confirm your attendance.
Women In Transportation Dinner (ticketed)
The annual Women in Transportation Dinner that will bring together TLPA’s men and women for an evening of networking. Tickets for this event range from $85 to $150 and are limited to the first 60 ticket purchasers.
This dinner will be held Thursday, October 28 at the JW Marriott at L.A. LIVE immediately following the Opening Cocktail Reception with guest speaker Rita L. Robinson, General Manager, Los Angeles Department of Transportation.
Ms. Robinson is responsible for the day-to-day operations of over 2,000 employees whose mission is to provide for the safe and optimal mobility of people and goods throughout the City of Los Angeles to support economic activity and desirable quality of life. This is an event you don’t want to miss!
Annual Banquet & Silent Auction (ticketed)
The Annual Banquet & Silent Auction will be the culmination of the 92nd Annual Convention & Tradeshow and will take place on
Saturday, October 30 at the JW Marriott at L.A. LIVE. The evening will begin with a Silent Auction to benefit the TLPA's legislative arm – the TLPA Action Fund together with live entertainment, a hosted open bar, dinner and more! Tickets range from $100 - $200 and are limited to the first 300 ticket purchasers.
Live entertainment will include Dr. Arthur Benjamin professor of mathematics and a magician who will bring a dynamic presentation called "Mathemagics" a high energy presentation has captivated thousands of groups throughout the world! And finally The Surf City Allstars band formed in the early 80's with band members who toured with both the Beach Boys and Jan & Dean. The Surf City Allstars are the best surfin' beach party band around!
