All spouses registered for the convention may also register for a 3 ½ hour City Tour of Denver and the Red Rocks Amphitheater. We'll board the buses Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. from the Hyatt Regency and begin our tour with a morning snack while our route includes a leisurely and revealing drive through the "ritzy" historic slice of downtown Denver's residential neighborhoods. Learn of the infamous characters and some of their stories that affected the development of "Denver City." Venture back in time to the early 19th century as we learn of our local heroine, Molly Brown and her experiences in Denver after the Titanic.
As our day unfolds we continue to Larimer Square, a thriving marketplace in the Lodo region (lower downtown) and witness the Victorian mansions that many now believe to be haunted. You will also see many other points of interest including the State Capitol building and the United States Mint.
Next, travel 15 miles west of the city to Red Rocks Amphitheater. This internationally known amphitheater sits between towering red sandstone formations where musical artists perform evening concerts in the incredible natural acoustic setting. We'll enjoy time at the Visitor's Center along with some interesting historical facts (and musical factoids!).
Our tour will conclude at the Colorado Convention Center where we will de-board for lunch in the exhibit hall.
