The Women In Transportation Committee
The TLPA's Women in Transportation Committee is made up of a diverse cross section of women in the transportation industry. We have members from limousine companies, taxi companies and paratransit companies (and several who have two or even three different divisions). We are owners, managers, spouses, daughters and mothers.
What we all have in common is a desire "To increase women's influence, visibility and participation at all levels in the transportation industry through outreach, education, career development and business opportunities." We are here to support each other in our efforts and we welcome you to join us. The Women in Transportation Committee is open to all those with a desire to connect with other women in the industry and share of their time and talents to help achieve our goals.
We are proudly supported by the Board of the TLPA and have their full strength and encouragement in our endeavors. As with all committees within the TLPA, being part of a smaller group gives us the opportunity to know each other better and to support each other on a more personalized level. We host a networking event at each annual conference and communicate via live meetings, e-mails, on-line surveys and conference calls in between. The issues that affect your business also affect ours and the opportunity to share both problems and solutions is a part of what our committee promotes.
